Senior Cambodian politician steps up the campaign for casino tax reform

Cambodian lawmaker Son Chhay has renewed calls to speed up the passage of definitive casino legislation as the government awards an additional 10 new licences in the country’s Sihanoukville Province. Rock Gaming takes next steps in operational takeover

Rock Gaming is pushing ahead with plans to take over the operational responsibilities of three of its casinos from Caesars Entertainment Operating Company. Detroit-based casino operator Rock Gaming has begun the process to takeover management of three Caesers Entertainment-run casino properties - Horseshoe Casino Cinncinati, Horseshoe Casino Cleveland and ThistleDown Racino - with the transition scheduled for completion by mid-2016. In February, Rock announced that it had entered into an agreement with Caesars Entertainment that resulted in Rock owning 100 per cent of the three casinos, along with the Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland, Higbee Building and a controlling stake in Turfway Park.
